    Reporting directly to the Director, Infrastructure and Operations, the Manager, Infrastructure Operations oversees the day-to-day operating of information technology systems that support the enterprise infrastructure of the RCM. The incumbent ensures that all systems are working at optimal levels and supports the development of new technologies and system requirements. Responsible for IT infrastructure monitoring, reporting, alerting and patching of Microsoft applications (including Active Directory, Exchange, SharePoint, SQL server, IIS, Skype for Business), Dell, EMC, VMware, IBM and HPE servers and storage and Cisco networking technology.  The incumbent is responsible for leading a team of approximately 3 to 4 people.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Works with various IT teams to develop operational guidelines in order to monitor and operate IT systems and applications.
    • Ensures that the alerting, escalation and reporting processes are standardized and efficient.
    • Collaborate with the IT Service Desk to receive, resolve and escalate tickets.
    • Creates and manages IT operations dashboards to provide visibility into systems health.
    • Responsible for creating, maintaining and communicating application and system patching procedures and schedules.
    • Leads a team of technical resources focused on incident, change and problem management.
    • Own and maintain the disaster recovery process, playbook and testing schedule.
    • Create and maintain a lifecycle management system for software and hardware.


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, College Diploma in IT or equivalent industry certification(s) highly desirable.
    • Minimum of ten (10) years of related IT infrastructure experience.
    • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive management experience.
    • Strong and recent experience in managing an IT operations team.
    • Strong and recent experience with Microsoft System Center and SolarWinds
    • Enterprise experience in design, deployment, tuning and operating of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
    • Enterprise experience in design, deployment, tuning and operating of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
    • Experience with SolarWinds in monitoring network assets.
    • Enterprise experience in IT operations management, preferably in a Microsoft environment
    • Knowledge in the following software technologies preferred: MS Active Directory, Microsoft Server 2016/2019, MS SQL 2014/2016 and PowerShell
    • Knowledge of virtualization technologies - particularly from VMware including SRM.
    • Knowledge of the following hardware technologies preferred; switching and routing technologies from Cisco and HP, knowledge of enterprise storage solutions from HP and EMC, knowledge of Fibre Channel and iSCSI Storage Area Networking, knowledge of enterprise servers from HP, Dell or other tier-1 vendors;
    • Strong understanding of enterprise frameworks such as ITIL and ITSM. 
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to build a high-performance team.
    • Knowledge of Azure networking and architecture.
    • Strong understanding of backup procedures and processes.
