    Reporting to the Director, IT Infrastructure and Operations, the Cloud Architect, Infrastructure Solutions (IS) interfaces and interacts with stakeholders to analyze, interpret and understand complex systems and their requirements.  This position will lead the design of enterprise Microsoft 365 foundational solutions based on accepted architectural standards and business requirements. The incumbent will possess deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure architecture and design. This position will lead the technical transformation for cloud strategy to support line of business systems, communications and infrastructure.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the planning and design of enterprise cloud architecture and participates in the creation of enterprise infrastructure architecture documents (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines and procedures) under the direction of the Senior Manager, where appropriate.
    • Maintain up-to-date detailed knowledge of the cloud computing industry including awareness of new or revised business solutions.
    • Recommend additional infrastructure solutions or enhancements to existing infrastructure solutions to improve overall RCM cloud initiatives and oversee the deployment, integration and initial configuration of all new cloud computing solutions.
    • Maintain up-to-date processes and procedures for cloud solutions to ensure business continuity in the event of a disaster.
    • In collaboration with Information Security, work to design secure communications for cloud based applications and business solutions.
    • Offer guidance and expertise in the transfer of on premise applications to cloud based providers. 
    • Regularly evaluate existing cloud infrastructure to identify risks or opportunities for improvements that are aligned to enterprise architecture standards.
    • Collaborate with data and technology business partners to understand the RCM’s business needs from the viewpoint of cloud infrastructure.
    • Become the steward for documentation related to cloud architectures along with engineering standards and recommendations for design.
    • Act as a technical consultant on cloud application incident investigations and technical analyses.
    • Serve as a leading member of the Information Technology team providing guidance, technical expertise and solution architecture across technical domains.

     

    Requirements:

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, College Diploma in IT or equivalent industry certification(s) highly desirable.
    • Minimum of twelve (12) years of progressively senior experience encompassing all aspects of large infrastructure implementations including design, deployment, operations, and life cycle management in an enterprise environment.
    • Strong and recent experience in designing and deploying enterprise foundational solutions based on Microsoft 365 and Azure platforms specifically around modern hybrid authentication, Microsoft Teams, InTune and Exchange.
    • Cloud architecture certification considered an asset.
    • Enterprise experience in design, deployment and management of Microsoft 365 and Azure foundational solutions.
    • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
    • Experience in deploying Microsoft Teams considered a strong asset.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Modern Hybrid Authentication design and architecture.
    • Knowledge of cloud governance disciplines.
    • Extensive knowledge of information technology engineering and security.
    • Knowledge of programming languages, scripting and automation.
    • English is essential. Bilingualism is an asset.
