A FIRST! An enamelled platinum coin! Order today!

Platinum will not tarnish. Neither will the allure of this exclusive coin. It’s our first platinum coin to be selectively enamelled and features leaves from the silver maple. This fast-growing tree was a favourite among settlers seeking a steady supply of wood. Some even claimed its sap was the sweetest, but its yield too small to be viable. The silver maple’s leaves are beyond compare. Their distinct contours stunning in translucent red enamel.

Add this gorgeous red enamelled platinum coin to your collection today!

Special Features:
  • A FIRST! Your coin is our first enamelled platinum coin that showcases Canada’s inspiring national symbol with a vibrant dash of red.
  • EXQUISITE CRAFTSMANSHIP! Fine details and delicate veining are beautifully portrayed within the red translucent enamel, bringing a rare and fascinating dimension to your coin’s design.
  • INCLUDES SERIALIZED CERTIFICATE! The Royal Canadian Mint certifies all of its collector coins.
  • LOW MINTAGE! Only 250 coins available worldwide!
  • 99.95% PURE PLATINUM COIN! Crafted in 99.95% pure platinum. The incomparable prestige of this precious metal makes this coin an upscale and highly collectible numismatic masterpiece. NO GST/HST!

Canadian artist Celia Godkin has captured the distinctive beauty of the silver maple leaf—the deep indentations between its lobes, irregular teeth and defined points. Three leaves hang from the sprig in the background, each becoming smaller to enhance the sense of perspective. The large leaf's delicate veining is clearly visible through the translucent red enamel that brings a dynamic touch of autumnal colour to the design.

Did you know…
  • Platinum was a major challenge for Europe’s 18th-century scientists. They found it difficult to work with its high melting point and resistant properties. These “obstacles” make platinum the perfect metal for many of today’s high-tech applications such as fuel cells, electronic components, medical devices/implants, and crucibles.
  • Platinum is one of the heaviest and rarest precious metals. An average 130 tons are mined each year, compared to 1,800 tons of gold. It takes 10 tons of ore and five months to produce one ounce of platinum bullion.

Your coin is encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded red wood lacquered case with black box.

Beautiful coin

High quality craftsmanship of the RCM demonstrated with the design of this coin. Beautiful maple leaf coin. Very good long term investment.

I would buy a similar low mintage coin again.

The case is beautiful and enhances the overall package, but a case that would display the coin without opening it would be appreciated.

Unique and Beautiful!!

I was firstly intrigued that the coin was Platinum. Up close, you will appreciate the unique qualities that platinum holds over silver. Hence, it being a nice addition to mostly a silver, coin collection. The red, translucent, enamel, maple leaf, is also very unique in colour and composition and is quite striking. The red maple leaf and it's representation and symbolism of Canada in a natural yet simplistic design was also most attractive to me.
