The Mint is hiring an Analyst, Cyber Security Program who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Cyber Security Program, the Cyber Security Program Analyst will support the Manager in the coordination, development, review, implementation and maintenance of the Mint’s Information Security Policy, Cyber Security Incident Response Plan and Training and Awareness Program. The Cyber Security Program Analyst understands the Mint’s cyber security strategic goals and actively works with stakeholders to ensure a culture of cyber security awareness through programming and compliance with the Mint’s Information Security Policy.
Your Responsibilities:
- Supports the delivery of a multi-channel and diverse cyber security awareness program; including, but not limited to, annual training and events to heighten employee cyber security awareness.
- Develops cyber security awareness content including online brochures, newsletters and other internal communications in support of the Mint’s Cyber Security Program.
- Plans and facilitates annual review of the Mint’s Information Security Policy and Directives to ensure ongoing effectiveness, based on changes in technology, business processes and/or industry, standards.
- Facilitates regular review and periodic updates as required to the Mint’s Cyber Security Incident Response Plan in consultation with stakeholders. Provides incident response analysis and support during investigations and documents (scribes) during incident response activities.
- Play an active role in the enforcement of information security policies, guidelines, and procedures pertaining to corporate digital assets.
- Support and participate in investigations with internal stakeholders (Human Resources, Protective Services, etc.) on potential Mint’s policy breaches.
- Conducts regular audits in coordination with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with internal and external policy and regulatory standards.
- Coordination of working groups and meetings to facilitate management responses to maintain cyber security programming, audit and risk registries for reporting.
- Provide research, analysis and regular reporting on key cyber security risk indicators.
- Actions other responsibilities as assigned, including projects or initiatives to ensure successful delivery of the Mint’s Cyber Security Program and objectives.
This opening is to be filled on a hybrid working arrangement, and the incumbent will be required to work from the Ottawa location generally on an average of one to two days a week which could change based on operational requirements.
This selection process may also qualify you for other positions with similar requirements and qualifications.
Qualifications:
Languages Requirements:
- An advanced level of bilingual proficiency in both official languages (English / French) is required at the time of hire. If a bilingual candidate is not identified, other candidate language profiles may be considered in accordance with the Mint’s Staffing Policy
Education & Designation:
- University degree or certificate in IT, Cyber Security or other related area or a combination of education and relevant work experience will be considered.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4-5 years of related business experience.
- Experience in delivering training content in-person, online and in a hybrid work environment
- Experienced in preparing internal communications and delivering presentations
Additional Qualifications:
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of cyber security, general concepts and principles
- Organized and detail oriented with knowledge of project management and business analysis principles
- Communications skills. Preparing internal communications and delivering presentations
- Understanding of government policy, crown corporations, and privacy
