Gold as a gift for the newlyweds or silver for the birth of a new child, the tradition of gifting gold and silver is as old as time. When these gifts of gold and silver are passed down from one generation to the next, the tradition becomes a legacy.
This year more than ever, as we reunite with family and friends to celebrate the Year of the Tiger, a birth, birthday, wedding, graduation, retirement or an anniversary, you can mark the occasion and start a new tradition with a timeless gift of Premium Bullion in special packaging.
Crafted in one troy ounce (31.11 grams) of 99.99% pure silver and in 1/10 oz. of 99.99% pure (24K) gold, every uncirculated bullion coin delivers the quality, security and purity the world has come to expect from Canada’s mint.
DID YOU KNOW?
The maple leaf design on our bullion coins has remained untouched since its debut in 1979.
This stylized design of a Sugar maple leaf was designed by former Royal Canadian Mint Master Engraver, Walter Ott and has become a world-renowned symbol of craftsmanship and precious metal purity.
In 1982, our Gold Maple Leaf bullion coin became the world’s very first 24-Karat gold bullion coin. What about silver? With the introduction of our Silver Maple Leaf bullion coin in 1988, we also became the first to standardize our silver bullion offering at 99.99%. Even though the minimum world standards for gold and silver bullion coins is below 99.99%, we continue to offer one of the highest purities available.
