Another great dinosaur discovery!
Euoplocephalus tutus is the latest addition to thisseries that sparked the imagination of dinosaurhunters everywhere when it was first introducedin 2007.
This large armadillo-like creature lived in Albertabetween 76 and 70 million years ago. Its bodywas covered with bony armour embedded in itsskin. Even its eyelids were covered with movingbony plates and its tail had a defensive club thatwas formed by four bony growths fused together.Although such extensive body armour might havegiven this dinosaur a fierce appearance, it wasactually a slow, awkward-moving herbivore thatfed on low-lying vegetation.
Highlights:
A selective aging effect creates a powerful impression of fossilizedbones in stone. In fact, this technique ensures no two coins are exactlyalike. Each 99.99% pure silver coin is unique and—with a design thatwas developed in close collaboration with palaeontologistsat Alberta’sRoyal Tyrell Museum—is an original and compelling keepsake of one ofhumanity’s great fascinations.
